Mother Teresa Foundation is a non - government development organisation working for the unwanted, uncared and unloved in the society. It is because the most terrible poverty in the world is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved. Since its inception, following the footprints of its patron Mother Teresa, The Foundation has been concentrating in the field of education and health of the poor and downtrodden in various ways. The Foundation has been collaborating with other agencies, both governmental and non-governmental towards bringing up the poor children, women and farmers in the mainstream of life.
Furthermore, its support base has grown from a close circle of friends to an international network of individuals, corporations and agencies. Consequently, Mother Teresa Foundation supporters have established foreign outlets in various countries and extended the visibility of the organisation across borders.
The Foundation plans to construct a 8000 sq.ft building for Mother Teresa, Anbu IIIam (Orphanage) in Madhakottai, Thanjavur, at an estimated cost of Rs. 80,00,000/- (Eighty Lacs) to accommodate more children under a conducive atmosphere. You can help us to accomplish our long pending and much cherished project.

This year (2011-2012) our foundation has planned to extend financial assistance to poor students under The Mother Teresa Educational Program. Following the lines enshrined in the doctrines of Mother Teresa "Remove the educational poverty among the student community…" we are increasing the scope of this program from just helping students complete their schooling, to, helping them pursue any higher education (Technical Training, College Degree etc.) Additionally, Students admitted under this program are allowed to reside and pursue their education from the Mother Teresa Anbu Illam. We hope this plan would assist more deserving students to continue their education in spite of financial constraints.
